IACOP-BDOT'24 is one session of the 2nd International Academic Conference on Optics and Photonics, which will be held during November 22-24, 2024 in Haikou, China . This session is calling for original manuscripts, all submissions will be evaluated based on originality, technical and research content/depth, correctness, contributions, and readability.

IACOP-BDOT'24 Session Chair

Prof. You Wang
Southwest Institute of Technical Physics, China

Biography: You Wang received the B.S. degree in laser technology from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 1986, and the M.S. degree in optics from the Chinese Academy of Science (registered in Hefei University of Technology), Hefei, China, in 1991, and the Ph.D. degree in electronics/communication from Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan, in 1997. After that, he was with Tohoku University as an Assistant Professor, a Researcher of the major institutes of RICOH Co. Ltd., and a Laser Scientist of both the Center Laboratory of HPK Co. Ltd. and Institute of Physical and Chemical Research of Japan (RIKEN) for more than 15 years. He is currently a National Distinguished Professor of China with the Southwest Institute of Technical Physics, Chengdu, China. He is also involved in various aspects of theory and practice of several types of lasers and their industrial applications, his research interests include kinetic processes, molecular and atomic physics, solid-state lasers, semiconductor lasers, gas lasers, image processing, micro-laser processing, special waveguides, and optoelectronic technology.

Prof. Weiqing Gao
School of Physics, Hefei University of Technology, China

Biography: Weiqing Gao graduated from University of Science and Technology of China, and received the Ph.D. degree in Physics in 2007. From 2010 to 2013, he worked in Toyota Technological Institute as a postdoctoral fellow. He is now a Professor and Executive Dean of School of Physics, Hefei University of Technology, China. His research interests have been concerned with fiber optic devices and systems, fiber nonlinear effects, and optoelectronic integrated devices and systems.

Prof. Guijun Hu
Prof. Guijun Hu

College of Communication Engineering, Jilin University, China

Biography: Guijun Hu received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in optical engineering from the University of Northeast Normal University, in 1996, and the Ph.D. degree in microelectronics and solid state electronics from Jilin University. He is currently a professor with the College of Communication Engineering, Jilin University. He is the author of more than 100 articles and more than ten inventions. His research interests include optical fiber communication, optoelectronics, and fiber sensor. He is a member of the Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE).

Prof. Meisong Liao
Prof. Meisong Liao

Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China

Biography: Meisong Liao received the Ph.D. degree from Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai, China, in 2007. He is currently a Professor with the Key Laboratory of Materials for High Power Laser, Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research interests include highly nonlinear microstructured fibers, supercontinuum generation, and hollow-core fibers.

Prof. Tonglei Cheng
Prof. Tonglei Cheng

College of Information Science and Engineering, Northeastern University, China

Biography: Tonglei Cheng joined Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, as a Full Professor, in 2017. His current research interests include optical fiber sensors, nonlinear optics, and soft glasses, Prof. Cheng has been a JSPS Post-Doctoral Fellow with the Toyota Technological Institute, Nagoya, Japan.

Prof. Guanshi Qin
Prof. Guanshi Qin

College of Electronic Science and Engineering, Jilin University, China

Biography: Guanshi Qin received the B.S. degree from the College of Physics, Shandong University, Jinan, China, and the Ph.D. degree in condensed state physics from the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 1999 and 2004, respectively. Since 2007, he has been a Professor with Jilin University, Changchun, China. His research interests include special glass fiber and photonic devices, specifically including the design, preparation, and characterization of special glass microstructure fibers, mid-infrared band fiber lasers, femtosecond fiber lasers, optical frequency combs, and ultra-high-speed optical information processing devices.

Prof. Nan Zhang
Prof. Nan Zhang

School of Optics and Photonics, Beijing Institute of Technology, China

Biography: Nan Zhang, graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering, University at Buffalo, The State University of New York with a Ph.D. degree in 2019, is now a Professor, Ph.D. Supervisor of the School of Optics and Photonics, Beijing Institute of Technology. He has long been devoted to the research of novel intelligent optical perception and sensing based on micro-nano optics.

Prof. Zhigang Yin
Prof. Zhigang Yin

School of Electrical Engineering, Chongqing University, China

Biography: Prof. Dr. Zhigang Yin is a full professor at Chongqing University, China. He received his Ph.D. degree from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He started his academic career at Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter, Chinese Academy of Sciences (FJIRSM, CAS) in 2011, and was promoted as a Full Professor in 2018. During the period from 2018 to 2020, he also worked in succession as a visiting scholar and a visiting professor at Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany as well as a research scholar at Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society (FHI), respectively. In 2022, he joined the School of Electrical Engineering of Chongqing University as a Full Professor. His research interests include optoelectronic materials, dielectrics, thin-film devices (e.g., solar cells, transistors, sensors, and photodetectors, etc.), flexible electronics, semiconductor physics, and interfacial science.

Prof. Bing Chen
Prof. Bing Chen

School of Physics, Hefei University of Technology, China

Biography: Bing Chen received the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Physics, East China Normal University, Shanghai, China, in 2015. He is currently a Professor with the School of Physics, Hefei University of Technology, China. His research interests include quantum optics, nonlinear optics, and wavelength conversion devices.

Prof. Zhigang Yin
Prof. Xiaohui Li

School of Physics and Information Technology, Shaanxi Normal University, China

Biography: Xiaohui Li received the B.S. degree in optical information science and technology from Northwest University, Xi’an, China, in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree in physics from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, in 2012. He is currently a Researcher with the School of Physics and Information Technology, Shaanxi Normal University, China, mainly engaged in the research on the photoelectric properties of infrared materials, ultrafast fiber laser technology, and soliton dynamics.

Prof. Zhigang Yin
Assoc. Prof. Chengliang Zhu

School of Control Engineering, Northeastern University, China

Biography: Chengliang Zhu received the B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Shizuoka University, Hamamatsu, Japan, in 2010, 2012 and 2019, respectively. From 2012 to 2016, he was a Research and Development Engineer at Makita Corporation, Japan. In 2019, he joined the State Key Laboratory of Synthetical Automation for Process Industries, Northeastern University, China, where his current research interest includes fiber-optic devices, fiber-optic sensors, optical measurement, all-optical signal processing, microwave photonics sensors, helical fiber gratings and fiber optics. He has authored more than 60 refereed journal and conference papers and held several Japanese and Chinese patents. Dr. Zhu is the winner of the Excellent Research Award 2019 of the IEICE Tokai Section. He is a Member of IEEE, IEICE and COS. He is a Member of the Editorial Board of the journal of SENSORS and Frontiers in Sensors.

Prof. Zhigang Yin
Assoc. Prof. Yuxuan Ren

Shanghai Medical School, Fudan University, China

Biography: Yuxuan Ren received his Ph.D. degree from University of Science and Technology of China in 2012. He once worked at the NCPSS Chinese Academy of Sciences, and worked as a postdoc at San Francisco State University, and the University of Hong Kong until 2020. In 2021, he joined ITBR at Fudan University as a Research Associate Professor. His main research interests include nonlinear optics, optical field modulation, and biophotonics technology development and applications.

Assoc. Prof. Hongju Li
Assoc. Prof. Chengliang Zhu

School of Physics, Hefei University of Technology, China

Biography: Hongju Li received the Ph.D. degree from the School of Physics and Electronic, Hunan University, Changsha, China, in 2017. He is currently an associate professor with the School of Physics, Hefei University of Technology, China. His research interest includes nanophotonics, surface plasmons, and two-dimensional materials.

Wentan Fang
Wentan Fang

School of Physics, Hefei University of Technology, China

Biography: Wentan Fang is a lecturer in the School of Physics, Hefei University of Technology, China. He graduated from the School of Physics, University of Science and Technology of China in 2020. His main research interests include nonlinear fiber optics, fiber lasers, fiber optical field modulation and fiber-based quantum entanglement light sources.
