Microwave photonics is a highly integrated cross-discipline of microwave and photonics technology, which complement each other's strengths and weaknesses, and is regarded as one of the key technologies to break through the rate and bandwidth bottlenecks faced by electronic information systems, and a core technology to solve the bottleneck of resolution and accuracy of optical measurements. With the development of basic theories, basic materials and basic devices, microwave photonics technology has shown a good momentum of vigorous development, and has a wide range of application prospects in the fields of radar and electronic warfare, broadband wireless communications, high-precision sensing and measurement. In this context, IACOP-MWP'24 aims to bring together global experts, scholars and industry elites to build a diversified, open and innovative sharing platform, and to jointly promote technological innovation and exchange in the field of microwave photonics, as well as the industrial development of its application areas.

Biography: Prof. Zhiyao Zhang, received his Ph.D. degree in Engineering from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in 2010, he is currently working in the School of Optoelectronic Science and Engineering, and Microwave Photonics Research Center, UESTC. His research areas include microwave photonics technology, integrated optoelectronics technology, and nonlinear optics.

Prof. Yiying Gu, School of Optoelectronic Engineering & Instrumentation Science, Dalian University of Technology, China
Biography: Yiying Gu received the Ph.D. degree in optical engineering from the Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, China, in 2011. He is currently a Full Professor with the Dalian University of Technology. His current research interests include microwave photonics and integrated photonics.
Prof. Xiaopeng Xie, School of Electronics, Peking University, China
Biography: Xie Xiaopeng is an Assistant Professor with the School of electronics, Peking University. He receivedhis B.Sc. from Shanxi University in 2007, M.Sc. and Ph.D. from Peking University in 2010 and 2014, respectively. Before joining Peking University, he worked as post-doctoral fellow in SYRTE, Observatoire de Paris, France. His research interests cover the topics of optical frequency combs, ultra-stable lasers, ultra-low noise photonic microwave generation and its characterization. Dr. Xie has published over 30 academic articles in peer-reviewed journals and conferences such as Nature Photonics, Optics letters, Optics Express, IEEE/OSA JLT, CLEO and SPIE Photonics West.
Prof Yang Chen, East China Normal University, China
Speech title: Microwave frequency and time-frequency analysis empowered by microwave photonics
Biography: Yang Chen received the B.E. degree in telecommunications engineering and the Ph.D. degree in communication and information systems from Xidian University, Xi’an, China, in 2009 and 2015, respectively. He is currently a Full Professor with the School of Communication and Electronic Engineering, East China Normal University, Shanghai, China. He has authored or coauthored more than 70 papers in peer-reviewed journals and more than 15 papers in conference proceedings. His current research interests include microwave photonics, optoelectronic oscillators, radio-over-fiber techniques, and optical communications. He was selected to receive an inaugural IEEE/Optica Journal of Lightwave Technology Outstanding Reviewer Award in 2023 and an IEEE Photonics Journal Outstanding Reviewer Award in 2022. He was listed in the World’s Top 2% Scientists elaborated by Stanford University in 2023. He is a member of IEEE and Optica.
Assoc. Prof. Liangjun Lu, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China
Biography: Liangjun Lu, received the B.S. degree in optical engineering from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 2011, and the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2016. He is currently a Tenure-Track Associate Professor with the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Optical Communication Systems and Networks, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests include silicon photonics and photonic integrated circuits.
Prof. Peng Xie, Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China
Biography: Prof. Peng Xie is the Principal Investigator/Team Leader of nano-photonics and photonic networks group at Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He obtained the High-level Talent Introduction Program of Chinese Academy of Sciences and received the appointment of distinguished professor in 2024. Prof. Xie's research work focuses on photonic integrated chips and applications (micro-cavity optical frequency comb technology, on-chip LiDAR, on-chip tunable light source, etc.), on-chip/inter-chip photonic network technology, multi-dimensional/high-dimensional optical computing technology, large-capacity information optical interconnection technology, liquid crystal photonic devices and applications.

Jianghai Wo, Jinan University, China
Biography: Jianghai Wo received the B.Eng. degree in optical information sciences and technology from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2009. He received his Ph.D. degree in Optical Engineering from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2014. He joined the Institute of Photonic Technology at Jinan University, Guangzhou, China in 2021, as an associate professor. His research interests include microwave photonics, microwave photonic radar and optic-fiber sensors. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers.
Jingzhan Shi, Nanjing Normal University, China
Biography: Jingzhan Shi is an associate professor at Nanjing Normal University, He is mainly engaged in the research of microwave photonics measurement technology and application. He has published more than 20 papers in SCI journals, one paper was selected as Editors' Pick, two conference papers were awarded the best conference paper prize by ICOCN and PIERS, and he has been granted 6 invention patents.

Biography: Bin Wang is an assistant professor at the Radar Technology Research Institute, Beijing Institute of Technology, China. He is mainly engaged in the research of silicon-based integrated microwave photonics chip and chip-based microwave photonics radar system.
Tengfei Hao, Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China
Biography: Tengfei Hao is currently an Assistant Professor with the Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. His research interests include microwave photonic signal generation and processing based on an optoelectronic oscillator (OEO). He has proposed and demonstrated a series of novel OEOs, which promoted the development of OEO technology. He has authored or coauthored 42 papers in peer-reviewed journals such as Nature Communications and Light: Science & Applications. He has 26 invention patents that have been authorized. He was supported by Young Elite Scientist Sponsorship Program by CAST, and won the IEEE Photonics Society Graduate Student Fellowship, IEEE MTT-Society Graduate Fellowship Award, and Rasing Star of Microwave Photonics in China.
